About League 15

League 15 Logo.gif

Wilbert Farber. Phoenix Eunichs. The self-proclaimed Supercoach of Morgantown. Coach Jwschultz. Vick Ditale. These are just a few of the amazing characters, teams and personalities that make up League 15. What I hoped to accomplish when I started this effort was to tell a story of all these amazing coaches, personalities and and players which make up League 15. From Andy Torres and Wilbert Farber not winning the NTT to Kenneth Gallagher and Michael Braddock cutting down the championship nets, these are the stories I hope to capture and for those after me to document when I have moved along (again).

The League 15 Wiki Project is an effort to document League 15 in a storybook format. Doing this in the wiki allows League 15 to continue its story even as individual coaches come and go. This is similar to the Dread Pirate Roberts business plan as explained in the Princess Bride.

League 15 contains unique rules which differentiate it from other Leagues at Drive the Lane. See League 15 Unique Rules to learn why League 15 is unique.

We created something called a compass which is a conformed template placed in the top-rigth hand corner of all pages of common history. In the case the of the League 15 Compass, we are documenting each season's NTT Brackets as well as corresponding recruit information. The neat aspect of this is when I drift away into other aspects of the internet, another user can maintain all the links on each page by simply updating the League 15 Compass.

Browsers can return to the this page by selecting League 15 Home.

This compass will allow you to jump from NTT season to NTT season to see which teams return or have back-to-back deep runs into the NTT. We also document all of Vick Ditale's game-by-game analysis when they are done. Currently we maintain the NTT Championship Brackets (labeled by the NTT Champion). Each season's NTT brackets are represented by the NTT Championship winner.

The corresponding recruiting information (Labeled by Graduating HS Class) is also maintained. We capture the Coaches' Most Recruited List, those players who win League Wide award and the first round of the SimNBA draft. We also document Vick Ditale's McDonald's All-Americans when they are done.

The League 15 Compass (and all the corresponding links within) can be maintained and updated by updating the Template: L15_Compass. This allows for the web pages and the compasses to be uniform and consistent from page to page.

League 15 coaches take a lot of pride in their competitive conferences and some coaches have taken the time to document the historical records and achievements of teams which make up their conference.

Browsers can return to the this page by selecting League 15 Home.

Like the League 15 Compass, we have created a League 15 Conference Compass. The League 15 Conference Compass allows browsing through each conference with a uniform and conformed compass in teh top right hand corner for each conference page. Conferences can be accessed to selecting the conference number within the League 15 Conference Compass.

Conference 6 and Conference 31 have conference storybooks (Historical Timeline with arrow pointing down). If you would like one of these done for your conference, please PM *blue15 with all the relative information to put into the timeline.

There is currently no official Hall of Fame for League 15. However, what we have started is list of League 15 Hall of Fame Nominations for future reference should a Hall of Fame for League 15 started. It is a neat twist as in this model we do not seperate those that are HOF worthy or not, we just document the process and the final votes. This allows each coach and generation to draw there own conclusions.

Functionally what we want to do is just document the careers of those marquee players who coaches would like to do a write-up on. By not outlining hard requirements for what it takes to get into the HOF, we do not exclude any players from the list.

I encourage everybody to writeup an article, find a picture and nominant him for the League 15 HOF. Worse case scenario is he gets a low voter approval rating. But it's better to be nominated and get a low approval rating than not be documented at all and lost forever.

This effort was started around cycle 63 but nominations are not limited to current players. All historical players are very much welcomed as I am sure new coaches would like to hear about the greats which preceeded them.

Organized tournaments are a great way for coaches to test their teams' ability against other top programs in the Nation. Tournaments come in two flavors, preseason and regular season and both are organized by coaches submitted schedule request prior to the season roll-over. There are currently no active tournaments in League 15.

See Former League 15 Tournaments to see previous organized and successful tournaments.

Vick Ditale

Vick Ditale is an active personality in League 15 and adds a tremendous amount of value to League 15 with his updates through the season. Below are an historical record of his awards. His High School All-American Awards can be found in the Players Classes section.
