Program Record: 466 - 521 (.472)

Last 5 Seasons: 87 - 33 (.725)

Best Season: S40 20-4

Coach: Blalock

Conference: L5_C16

In the early era of SimSports, Dayton was a perennial doormat to stronger franchises in Cincinnati and Sioux City. They developed into an NTT squad for a brief period in the early 20's, riding the narrow shoulders of 6'7" PF Antwan Elam with a defensive-minded supporting cast. In Season 21, the team set franchise-high marks of 4.2bpg, 7.3spg, and 15.1apg while making the NTT with a 14-4 record and finished 16-8. They soon returned to mediocrity.

Dayton has been coached by coach Blalock1 since season 33 and have slowly risen out of their historical ineptitude to become a very competitive team, overthrowing Cincinnati's grip on the North division. Up to date their best season was the magical season of 36 when the first three seasons of rebuilding finally accumulated into a milestone 19-5 season. Led by its all-time leading scorer SR SG Todd Kyser, Dayton managed to beat Cinci 2 out of 3 games, winning the north and ending up in the NTT where they went 3-3.

Since that season Dayton won a PTT title in S37 when they where lead by three SR starters who comprised Coach Blalock's first ever recruiting effort in Sim Sports. In S39 Dayton returned to the NTT scene, but struggled and finished with only 15 wins.

Season 40 was another landmark season, with Dayton raising the bar on offense with team-records of 53.8% FGs, 18.0apg, and 468 FTAs. The development of a young, dynamic guard duo (Wayne Carroll and Brandon Vaughan), combined with the leadership of 6'9" Terry Ridenour and the successful recruitment of stud C Andre Morgan, produced the most well-rounded Dayton squad to date.

With all the key starters returning, Season 41 was gearing up to be Dayton's best. Through the first 14 games of the regular season, they suffered just one loss - to St Louis, of course. But a late injury to their starting PG spelled doom, as Dayton lost game 15 (and the C16 regular season title as a result), held the injured starter out of the whole conference tournament AND out of the first couple NTT games. Needless to say, they lost more games than tney won.
