Conference 17 is also known as the Heartland Conference for the general location of the teams across the Midwest. Members of this conference come from the states of Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri. This conference is known as the home to one of the nation's greatest rivalries, Detroit and Columbus.
