Selection Process
-top 4 ranked (or 2) "local" teams, (hailing from the southwestern states), will get local preference for "automatic" bids, whatever they're ranked nationally in regards to other teams;
Local Status
- eligible teams for "local" status are; (TX, OK, NM, AZ)
TX = odessa, lubbock, dallas, fort worth, el paso, abilene, austin, midland, plainview, corpus christi, san antonio, galveston, arlington, amarillo, houston, beaumont, garland, laredo, college station,
OK = tulsa, shawnee, norman, oklahoma city, stillwater
NM = albuquerque, silver city, roswell, santa fe
AZ = phoenix, mesa, tempe, scottsdale, tuscon, yuma, flagstaff
-top 12 (or 6) remaining teams registered, based on their national rankings, will get next priority to fill the remaining slots... and will be broken up as evenly as possible...
-all are welcome to sign up to try and boost their strength of schedule...
-up to four teams from the same conf. can get in a 16 team field as i'll be sure to schedule you all in different brackets, 2 in an 8 team field... {conf. 25 coaches, ahem}
Championship Rules
- tie to be decided by H2H record
- 3-way triangle tie w/ offsetting H2H records to be decided by best PF/PA difference.
- in the case of any still 2-way, the tie breaker will resort back to h2h...
(****in the rare case of a 3-way PF/PA tie, it will be decided by most PF, then H2H)
