The Show Me Invitational was a League 15 Tournament consisting of the exhibition season and first three regular season games

The Show Me Invitational was a tournament hosted by the Branson Bullfrogs. The tournament consists of teams from Missouri and other teams from across the country. This tournament started with the director seeing the need for more regular season tournament action in League 15. The tournament ran for 5 seasons.

Selection Process

The Show Me Invitational's current format consists of a 20 team field.

The Selection process is broken down into three tiers. Selection is based on Tier 1 first, with any openings being filled by Tier 2, and any openings after that are filled by Tier 3.

Tier 1: Missouri Local Tier. Joplin, Jefferson City, St. Louis, Branson, Independence, and Kansas City are given first shot at entering tournament.

Tier 2: Defending Show Me Invitational Champions are given Tier 2 priority.

Tier 3: First come first serve open enrollment.

Only 2 teams from a single conference are allowed entry with current set up.

Previous seasons: Season 1 had 8 teams, Season 2 had 12 teams. Season 3 had 16 teams

Groups

The field is broken up into four divisions. The names of the divisions will change, but will feature four legendary figures in Missouri history. Teams from the same conference will not be in the same division.

I will try to make sure that the groups are as equal as possible. To do this I will attempt to make sure that each group has a total of 18 seed points.

ex: 1,4,5,8 and 2,3,6,7

Championship Rules

The winner of each group will advance to the Championship Round. The group champions will play in a scrimmage to advance in the playoffs and these winners will play to determine the Show Me Invitational Champion and win the Truman Trophy, named after Missouri's only president.

Scheduling will be a round robin in group play and 1 team from each other group.

Group Championship determining is overall tourney record, group record, head to head, point diffential, total points scored, total rebounds, total steals, total blocks. Resetting after each team loses tiebreak. If 3 teams are still tied after all of these tiebreaks, the 4th place team in that group automatically moves on to championship. Yes...you could still somehow get through because of tiebreak insanity.
