Season 61 - The Originals

  • Sr. PF Howard Nichols, 6'6" - Nichols was a veteran leader for the Ironclads in his only season with Coach shriektac. He played well above his skill level and was particularly valuable once he was moved to the PF position, boosting the team's weak rebounding. Nichols scored 13.6 ppg for his career.
  • Jr. C Barry Cain, 6'9" - Getting Barry Cain into the starting lineup paid immediate dividends for Coach shriektac. Sharpshooting Cain would have been a fantastic SF, but he was a real hero at C for this small team. He made 52 of 109 3-pointers in his senior season and averaged 12.4 ppg for his career.
  • Jr. SF Brad Judge, 6'5" - Judge bounced back and forth between the bench and the starting lineup. He was somewhat volatile and never really lived up to his expectations, but exploded for big games every once and a while. He was awarded the Inferno's 6th-Man Award in its inaugural season. He made 55 of 121 3-pointers his senior year and finished his career with a 13.1 ppg average.
  • So. SG Macauley Lopez, 6'5" - Macauley was just a young contributor on an offensively rich team when Coach shriektac arrived, but he increased his scoring average every season. Lopez scored 22.2 ppg his senior year and graduated with 1,633 points and 122 steals. He won the C5 Freshman of the Year Award and, in his senior season, the C5 Player of the Year Award.
  • So. PG Ryan Burton, 6'1" - Burton was mostly a disappointment at PG and never contributed offensively as expected. Nevertheless, Burton is heroically remembered in Annapolis for a buzzer-beating half-court shot to win a thrilling 2OT game over now rival Gainesville in the NTT and send Annapolis to their first Sweet 16.
  • Fr. SG/SF Kenneth Thomas, 6'6" - Another volatile player, Thomas was dubbed Mr. Inconsistent after flashing some brilliance early in his freshman season, but then disappearing for a long stretch. KT got his act together and finished with a very strong 16 ppg and 1.5 spg in his senior season.
  • Fr. bSG Bruno Rowan, 6'3" - Bruno was never a starter but was always a fantastic spark off of the bench. Rowan shot 49% from 3-point-range for his career, sinking 94 threes, and averaged 12.5 ppg in 13.7 mpg his senior season. Bruno currently serves as Annapolis' shooting coach.
