DeACCon Challenge

The DeACCon Challenge is a pre-season tournament that encompasses a group of coaches who share a common interest in Wake Forest athletics. The challenge isn't limited to Wake fans, but it was started by them and as such they get first priority entry. As of season 70, the challenge has been expanded to 16 teams due to interest and excitement over the tournament. It is not uncommon for 4-5 of the teams participating to be ranked in the top 10 PR. Surviving the challenge is usually a great indicator of the quality level of a given team. Since season 54, 7 DeACCon Challenge participants have gone on to win the NTT title while 5 have finished as the runner-up.
