History

The Annapolis Ironclads and Los Angeles Dingleberries have played every season in The Inferno since its inception in season 62. Coach bstorm and Coach shriek also have teams in the same division in League 15 and have played each other as many as 6 times in a single cycle. Every time the Ironclads and the Dingleberries play, they play at 1:30.

The first match! Annapolis 82, Los Angeles 73. Macauley Lopez (23) and Barry Cain (18) took on Alfred Butts (24) and Julian Kiplinger (16). The big difference was the Ironclads' 10 steals and 26 free throw attempts compared to LA's 6 FTA.

In season 63, LA struck back. In the Inferno, LA took out Annapolis in overtime, 101-95. Each team had 5 players in double figures in scoring but the big surprise was LA's freshman PG Francisco Lopez who led all scorers with 29. Later that year, these two rivals met in the NTT's second round. LA once again outclassed the Ironclads, advancing with a 97-87 win.

LA kept rolling over the next 2 seasons, scoring 2 more wins: 81-71 in season 64 and 67-65 in season 65.

The turning of the tide: Season 66. Chico Curry (30) and Duane Beard (19) finally led the Ironclads past the Dingleberries for the first time in 4 meetings by beating them 82-67 in the Inferno. Then, the two teams met in the Inferno playoffs, and there was a similar outcome: Annapolis advanced with a 74-59 win, led by Chico Curry's 28 points. Crazily, the teams met for a third time in the same season in the NTT losers bracket. Annapolis achieved the 3-0 sweep by beating LA 78-76 on the back of Duane Beard's 28 points.

In season 67, Annapolis took a 5-4 series lead by surprisingly crushing LA 94-74. Chico Curry scored 34 and Avery Hartsock and Henry Kennedy finally gave Annapolis a significant advantage on the glass in this statement game.
