Summary by His College Coach

Johnnie Gregory is easily the best player in Louisville's history, and statistically the best of many great players to join C19 in Cycle 63. He led the Steamboats to the top of Conference 19 in seasons 64 and 65, which has recently become one of the toughest and most competitive conferences in all of League 15. Louisville had only experienced 4 winning seasons in the program's history, but Gregory was able to introduce a new era of basketball to a forever terrible town.

Gregory averaged 25.0 ppg for his career, graduating with an astounding 2,346 points. This number is the most by any Louisville player by more than 500 points, and good for #2 in C19 history, and #47 in League 15 history. Gregory scored 40+ points 6 times in his career, with a high of 47 in season 64. He also had 15 30+ point games. The stain on Gregory's resume is his 0-3 record in NTT tournament games. In these games he scored 42, 12, and 18 points. Despite these 2 very disappointing performances with the pressure on, Gregory led Louisville to an overall 11-7 postseason record in his 3 NTT appearances, scoring 28.6 ppg in these postseason matches.

Gregory was the premier player of a hyped 6/8 class. He came in as a +6 EGGFGG. He played mostly at SG for his first 3 seasons, while +7 classmate Jonathan White ran the point. In his senior season, Gregory had matured into a better PG option for the team and he took over the role. Gregory's career a/to ratio is a nice 1.7/0.9, but as a senior running the point he excelled with a 2.6/1.0 a/to ratio. He is hoping to follow conference mate Kenneth Gallagher of Hot Springs into the spotlight as a premier scoring PG in NBADreams and should be a top-5 draft pick consideration.

Gregory also excelled on the defensive end of the floor, giving him rare standing amongst the game's great 2-way threats. He recorded 147 career steals which is #1 in Louisville's history, #3 in C19's history, and 1 steal shy of cracking the Top-50 of League 15. He really stepped up his game defensively in his senior season, boasting averages of 2.0 spg and 0.7 bpg.
