Most Outstanding Freshman
Denver Trapp (Wichita)
Some freshmen scored more than Denver, some were better rebounders, and some were more efficient from the field. However, no freshmen in the GAMIT field had a better all-around tournament than Mr. Trapp. To top it off, he led a very powerful Wichita offense and was able to crack a very talented starting 5. This guy will be a force for the next 3 GAMITs for sure.
Most Outstanding Player
Victor Perkins (Des Moines)
In one of the toughest calls I've ever had to make for GAMIT MOP, I finally settled on Victor Perkins. This guy shot over 60% from the field, averaged nearly 20 ppg, and was a force on the defensive end for the Conservatives. While other players might have excelled in some areas more than than Mr. Perkins, Victor had the best all-around tournament in my opinion.
6th Man Award
Jeffery Tunney (Ames) Tunney played very well on a disappointing team this season. He averaged over 10 ppg and over 3 rpg at the bSF spot for the Hilton Magic.
